Engineers Without Borders is an international development non-profit that needed a new responsive website. We started with several workshops with stakeholders to determine needs of various parts of the organization.
Personas & Info Architecture
A rough architecture emerged from the workshops which was later refined. We also developed 3 major personas that would use the site regularly.
Wireframes were built and iterated with stakeholders using low fidelity prototyping.
Various visual styles were developed to try to find the sweet spot between professional, modern, and fresh.
Responsive, high fidelity mockups were developed for various screen sizes.
For this project I coded all frontend HTML, CSS & JS, as well as the PHP backend using Drupal 7.
Feedback from the Field
The national office received amazing feedback from the field after the new site launch, feeling they finally had a place to show their work. Recurring monthly subscriptions, the lifeblood for any non-profit, were way up.
